Mr. Stoia is a native Texan, born and raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Louisiana State University where he was involved in the judicial branch of student government as an associate justice. Mr. Stoia returned to Houston where he graduated from South Texas College of Law. There he excelled in the school’s nationally ranked Advocacy Program. Mr. Stoia was selected to represent the school as a Varsity Advocate where he traveled around the country representing South Texas in various mock trial tournaments. In his final year he received a Best Speaker Award at the T. Gerald Treece Summer Academy Tournament.
Before graduating, Mr. Stoia served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Charles W. Seymore of the 14th Court of Appeals of Texas. He also spent a substantial amount of time throughout law school assisting in the preparation of trials and the handling of felony dockets at the Harris County District Attorney Office.
Patrick Stoia joined Taunton, Snyder & Parish in 2014 after clerking for the firm out of law school. Since that time he has represented individuals and businesses of all sizes in matters ranging from personal injury and premises liability, to commercial litigation and Fair Labor Standards Act oilfield employee back pay collective actions. He has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 2014 and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern District of Texas.
